Go Canoeing Week &paddle round the World with British Canoeing.
Go Canoeing Week is a celebration of all things paddling! This year it will take place from Saturday May 23rd to Sunday May 31st. Our aim for the nine day event is to get as many people out on the water as possible, paddling as many miles as they can. One mile or one hundred: it all counts! Anyone can get involved, from complete beginners to seasoned pros and all forms of paddlesports are celebrated; from kayaking to stand-up paddleboarding!
Paddle from the UK to Rio de Janeiro and back
With the 2016 Rio Olympics on the horizon, we want everyone to feel part of the excitement. So the aim for Go Canoeing Week 2015 is to collectively paddle the equivalent of the journey from the UK to Rio de Janeiro and back: that's 24,901 miles! 
This journey is also the exact length of the Equator and means we’re essentially asking you to help us paddle around the world!
National Go Canoeing Week 2014 was our most successful yet, with thousands of people taking part in a huge range of paddling activities. We want to build on this success and make Go Canoeing Week 2015 even bigger and better.
